Daniel Paravisini

London School of Economics

Daniel Paravisini is a Professor of Finance at the London School of Economics whose research examines the functioning of credit markets, the behavior of financial institutions, and the real effects of financing constraints. His work combines rigorous empirical methods with granular administrative and banking datasets to uncover how information frictions, incentives, and institutional structures shape financial decisions and the transmission of shocks. He has published his work in leading economics and finance journals, and his contributions have been recognized with multiple Brattle Prizes and supported by major research funding, including an ERC Consolidator Grant. Daniel has served as Associate Editor for top journals and as Co-Editor of the Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization, has advised central banks such as the Bank of England and the Banque de France, and sits on the boards of major academic associations including the European Finance Association and the Financial Intermediation Research Society.
